MSP Skin Curriculum
Every year nurses from the Escambia County Health Department visit our 3-6 classrooms and educate the children on the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle.

Robin asked, “What is the recommended SPF?” and children counted higher and higher as she peeled away the numbers.

A weather bug (student helper of the week) records information for the daily meteorologist report. We added the UV Index as we learned more about the SunWise program and made effective curriculum changes.

At MSP, students learn the parts of the body starting in the 3-6 classroom. Students study the body more in depth in the 6-9 class and then study the systems of the body in 9-12. They learn throughout the years that the skin is the largest organ of the body.
