Congratulations to our 2010-2011 MATHCOUNTS team members! The MSP team and one individual student placed second at regionals and traveled to Orlando for the state competition. Thanks to parent coach, Christy Orthner, for all her help!

Thanks to a grant from NAEYC (National Assocation for the Education of Young Children) the Entry students, teachers, and parents put in this beautiful garden in the center of their new bike path.

Congratulations to our staff members who took 3-6 Montessori teacher training this summer (2010) and are serving in the classrooms as interns this fall.
As it happens, one of the interns used to be a student here at MSP herself! We thought you would enjoy seeing this photo of her when she was an MSP student.

The playground expansion for 2010-2011 school year:
The Montessori Drive playground has been expanded and new grass has been planted!


The playground was expanded and a 6-foot fence was built around it all.

At the end of the 2009-2010 school year, MSP students, families and staff met at the beach to celebrate its beauty before the oil hit the shores.



The MSP Mathcounts team placed third at the regional contest. They were .0025 away from going on to the state finals. One of our 8th grade students placed second in the individual round and will be going to Orlando for the state contest at the end of March. Congratulations to all of the MSP "Mathletes"!
