MSP BOOK REVIEWS:

The 6-9 students listened to the book The Little House, written by Virginia Lee Burton, at story time Wednesday, February 24, 2010.  So many of them wanted to check it out, to read it again, that we had to have a drawing to see who could go first.  They also composed a book review.  Click here to see what they had to say.

On March 10th, 6-9 students listened to a folk-tale from China called The Empty Pot.  Here is what they had to say about it…

GROUP POETRY FROM THE EAST CLASS:

Since April is National Poetry Month, the 3-6 East class got together in groups to create poems about their classroom.  Teachers reviewed songs and books with rhyming with the children.  Small groups of a mixture of ages worked together to make rhyming lines.  Click here to read their works.

EARTH DAY STORY- Written by 6-9 and 9-12 students in honor of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day 2010.  The classes sat all together, raising hands, to add a sentence at a time to this silly story about saving the Earth.  Click here to read it for yourself.
