Amanda Cook - Elementary Music and Recorder Teacher- Mont. Drive. Amanda is returning for her third year as recorder and music teacher for the 6-9 and 9-12 classes. She attended UWF and received a music education degree in 1999. She also works for the Pensacola Opera as a teaching artist for their "Words to Music" program, a literacy based program designed to introduce students to opera as well as improve literacy by intermingling the arts in the regular classroom. She has been married for ten years and has three daughters (ages 2, 4, and 6). She spends her time singing with the Pensacola Opera Chorus and playing with her girls.

Vanessa Mayes - Early Childhood and 6-9, 9-12 and Middle School Spanish Enrichment Teacher - 12th Avenue & Mont. Drive. She has been with MSP since 2007. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, she has a BS Degree in Latin American and Caribbean Affairs with a minor in Communications. Before moving to Pensacola she worked as Director of International Admissions for the University of Tampa. She has two children who both attend MSP.
Perry Merritt - Elementary and Middle School Art Teacher - Mont. Drive. Perry has a dual degree in Early Childhood and Elementary from UWF. She taught in the public school system in Pensacola and in Jacksonville Fl. She has three children: Janie , Gabrielle, and Milton who is in the 9-12 class! Perry enjoys most artistic mediums gardening, reading and loves to cook.
Lauren Southern-Godwin - Media Center and Public Relations- 12th Ave. and Mont. Drive. She has a BS Degree from Boston University in TV/Film and Education. Lauren began working with children in junior high school, when she started teaching art at summer camps. She also worked in children's television for PBS and the BBC in London. She is the volunteer Children's Coordinator for the local Greater Good Music, Art, and Children's Festival, as well as music festivals on the Suwannee River. She also serves as vice-president for Ever-man Natural Food Co-op. Lauren has a stepson who attends MSP and a new baby girl.
