9-12 Classes

Maria Mitkevicius
Co-owner/Head of Elementary & Middle School.
She began her educational career in 1972 in public school in Connecticut. She has a BS in Elementary Education from Southern Connecticut State University. She is also AMS Early Childhood, Elementary I & II certified. She has been “doing” Montessori since 1980. She is married and has three children who all attended MSP. When not at school, she enjoys reading, traveling, hiking, and visiting her family.

Cecilia Akin
Teacher – 9-12 classroom
She has been with MSP since 2008 and has taken AMS 6-9 training. Cecilia has a BS degree in Chemistry from Springhill College. She has two children at MSP.

Casie Burton
Teacher- 9-12 classroom
She holds a degree in Elementary education from UWF.  She has two years prior experience teaching and has her Florida teacher certificate.

Ray Sandacz
Teacher – 9-12 classroom.
Mr. Sandacz has been a teacher for 33 years both in Texas and Florida. He has taught students from kindergarten through the college level in Math, English, Social Studies, and Health/PE. He graduated from Trinity University (San Antonio, TX) with both a BS and a BA and holds teaching certification in both Texas and Florida. He also served for 14 years in the Army. Mr. Sandacz presented at the Texas State Math Conference (CAMT) for 4 years in a row (2001- 4)! Mr. Sandacz enjoys playing chess and bridge. He is hoping to enrich our after-school classes by offering chess later on this year!
