Jennifer Austin
Head Teacher - 3-6 East classroom.
She has been with MSP since 2002. She is 3-6 AMS Certified and graduated from UWF with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a minor in Sociology and Social Welfare, and a Master’s in Primary Education. She has a son who attends MSP.
Brandi Bazanac
Teacher – 3-6 East classroom.
She has been with MSP since 2008. She has a BA in Early Childhood Education and has been working with children since 2002. She is 3-6 Montessori teacher certified. Brandi is a native of New Orleans and loves the New Orleans Saints!
Gaylene Brotherton
Early Childhood Level Coordinator / Head Teacher- 3-6 West classroom.
She has been with MSP since 1989. She is married and has two girls who attended MSP. She is AMS Certified in 3-6 and Infant/Toddler. She loves to paint, create, read and bask in the sun.
Janie Forgione
Teacher – 3-6 West classroom.
She has been with MSP since 1995. She is 3-6 Montessori teacher certified. She is married and has two children. Her daughter and son attended MSP. She enjoys taking pictures and making jewelry. She is a native of Pensacola.
Nikki Forgione
Teacher- 3-6 West classroom
She has been with MSP since 2008, when she graduated high school. She is 3-6 Montessori teacher certified. She is a former MSP student! She is currently attending UWF. Nikki sings and plays guitar and loves playing music with the children.
Sonja Johnson
Teacher – 3-6 West classroom.
She has been with MSP since 2001. She grew up in Germany and received her Early Childhood Degree in 1977. She graduated from the Academy of Social Pedagogies. She is 3-6 Montessori teacher certified. She is married and has a son and a daughter. Her hobbies include cooking, aerobics, Tae Bo and entertaining guests.
Rena Lautzenheiser
Teacher – 3-6 East classroom.
Rena has taught at MSP since 1995. She is AMS-certified in 3-6 and Elementary I and II and is a Florida-certified educator in Prekindergarten/Primary Education, Elementary Education, and Mathematics (Grades 5-9). Both of Rena’s children graduated from MSP. Rena is a lifelong learner who enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities, and reading. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying and spends her summers land surveying in Montana.
Pam Meharg
Head Teacher – 3-6 Montessori Drive.
She has been at MSP since 1994. She is married and has two children who are both former MSP students. She is AMS Infant/Toddler and 3-6 certified. This is a second career for her. She was formerly a photographer and has always enjoyed working with young children and looks forward to each new school year. She enjoys reading, gardening and cooking.
Christa Parent
Teacher- 3-6 Montessori Drive.
She has been working with children and families in some capacity for over 12 years. She worked for MSP for several years and can returned in 2010-2011. Christa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from University of Missouri and an AMS 3-6 credential. She also works as a doula and yoga teacher at various locations throughout Pensacola. She has been teaching yoga to children for the past 5 years, and recently became licensed to teach yoga to children with special needs. Christa’s daugter attends MSP.
Sophie Sassine Rose
Teacher- 3-6 Montessori Drive.
She has been at MSP since 2005 and worked with children since 2002. She is 3-6 Montessori teacher certified and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Sophie has taken 6-9 Montessori training.
Sarah Skipper
Intern – 3-6 West Classroom.
Sarah is doing her AMS intership in the 3-6 West Class. She has three children, 2 attend MSP. Sarah graduated from UWF with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and Exceptional Child education. She has taught in public school for three years. She fell in love with the Montessori philosophy and is in the midst of becoming an AMS certified teacher.
Cheryl Vann
Teacher – 3-6 Montessori Drive.
She has been with MSP since 2006. She has been working with children and families for over 15 years. One of her boys attend MSP now and two have graduated.
