The Montessori School of Pensacola is the only accredited Montessori school in the Pensacola area.
The name "Montessori" is in the public domain and therefore any school can use the word "Montessori" in its name. Accreditation through an organization that accredits Montessori schools is one way to ensure that a school is authentic and meets national standards for quality in Montessori education.
MSP is accredited by the American Montessori Society (AMS), the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools (SACS), the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA), and the Association of Independent Schools of Florida (AISF).
MSP is also a satellite training center location for the Montessori Teacher Education Center of the San Francisco Bay Area.
